This fic was fantastic. It kind of reminded me of The Sidhe in the sense that there’s the love story, which is filled with sexual tension and romance, then there’s mystery and action and plot twists. Blaine’s character, a vampire who is lethal and Kurt, who is stubborn and strong willed, have canon traits but also fit the context of the story. It’s not one of those fics where Blaine is the hero or the villain, he is a mix of both and Kurt is not at all a victim. It’s quite long, but I read it in one night because I just couldn’t stop. There are a few side pairings that show up from time to time (Nick/Jeff, Brittany/Santana, Tina/Mike etc), but Kurt and Blaine are the focus. Honestly they make it a well rounded story.
Also, it takes place in England. It doesn’t specify the time period but it feels about 18th or 19th century, so I read this in my head with a British accent and it just adds to the allure. Definitely a favourite.
