Ask Ausiello Spoilers

Question: How is next season of Glee going to work exactly, what with half the show being set in New York and the other half at McKinley? —Jenny
Ausiello: This is subject to change, but it’s my understanding that they’re taking a Lost-like approach to Season 4 — devoting whole episodes to one location or the other. In other words, the premiere might be set at NYADA with Rachel and Kurt, while Episode 2 could focus on the first day back at McKinley. Smart way to go, IMHO.

Question: Please tell me Glee will actually be shooting in New York next season and not on some cheesy Hollywood backlot outfitted to look like New York. We can tell the difference. —Melissa
Ausiello: And so, apparently, can Ryan Murphy. “We’re coming to New York,” the Glee boss insists. “Nothing is in stone, because we’re still budgeting, but I would love to come once every five weeks and shoot a lot of scenes there. We are 100 percent doing that; we’re not going to do it all on a soundstage. That was one of the fun reasons to do [the storyline].”

Gloria Estefan Talks Glee Finale Visit, Supporting ‘Brittana’ and Having It Out With [Spoiler]

daxterdd:

fyeahgleeclub:

On the Season 3 finale of Fox’s Glee (airing Tuesday at 8/7c), the graduating seniors may be saying goodbye, but they’ll also be saying “hello” toGloria Estefan — playing Santana’s mom, Maribel Lopez.

While she won’t be singing during this TV appearance, the three-time Grammy winner will be delivering “zingers” at Breadstix. In the following Q&A, the self-proclaimed “Gleek” previews a “monkey wrench” for Brittana, talks about her in-depth preparation for the role and even gives her suggestions for Season 4. (And Ryan Murphy is listening!)

Aw, I really like that Gloria is so passionate about the show and about her role, and I just find it exceedingly charming that she did her homework and thought about thinks like body tics and head movements.

Gloria Estefan on Giving Santana Her Edge

fyeahgleeclub:

They announced you’d be guest-starring on Glee months ago, and fortunately you snuck in just in time for the finale.
We were waiting and waiting for the call, but I kind of like being in the season finale because it leaves you hanging. I hope I’m going to get to come back next season and sing.

Tell me about Santana’s mom, Maribel.
She’s a strong woman who at one point wanted to be a singer, but she wanted Santana to succeed, so she had put her life on hold to be a mom. Her husband’s a doctor, so in my head, Maribel helped put him through school. Grandma, who’s a real tough cookie, probably told her not to follow her singing dream because she was a young mom.

What did Santana get from her mom?
Sarcasm, although she’s taken it to a whole other level, for sure. And her talent for music.

And what does Maribel think of her daughter’s girlfriend?
She, Santana, and Brittany have dinner at Breadstix in the finale, and they’re dishing and having fun. I don’t think it’s the first time she’s met Brittany. Santana’s mom thinks Brittany is hilarious, and also that she’s got this wisdom underneath certain things she says. She just doles out these little pieces of truth sometimes … and sometimes she’s completely off the charts. But Brittany is definitely loved. Santana’s mom just wants her daughter to be happy.

Ask Ausiello Spoilers

Question: A couple weeks ago, you guys did a “Glee Season 4 suggestions” story, and you later said there was truth to at least one of them. Since we are coming to the end of the current season, care to elaborate? Pretty please with Papa Smurf on top? —Morgan
Ausiello: I was referring to the first half of Slide No. 1.

Question: We all know the Big Three are coming back on Glee. But how about revealing if Dianna Agron, Mark Salling, Amber Riley, Heather Morris and Harry Shum are back, and if so, in what capacity? Regular or guest star?  I adore Quinn, Puck, Mercedes, Brit and Mike, so show some love for us and let us know their status…. pretty please! —Cindy
Ausiello: I’m fairly certain Morris will be back as a series regular. The rest are… um, I’ll get back to you on that.

Question: Do you have any news on any Santana/Brittany romance on Glee? —K. Patton
Ausiello: Yes, but it’s not necessarily good news. The lovebirds encounter a major roadblock in next week’s finale. Hint: The fit hits the shan at a pre-graduation dinner at Breadstix that’s attended by Santana, Brit and one Dame Gloria Estefan.
